2011 Filipino American Friendship Day

"Filipino-American Friendship Day, an annual event that celebrates the enduring bond forged between Americans and Filipinos fighting for their freedom during World War II, took place on July 2, 2011 at Redwing Park in Virginia Beach. This is a deep and enduring friendship that continues to this day. It was my pleasure to attend the festivities and enjoy the fellowship, food and fun with my Filipino constituents.
